

Shell is a worldwide group of oil, gas and petrochemical companies with interests in biofuels, wind and solar power and hydrogen. The company maintains 130 offices globally.
Shell wanted to expand its offering to outside the typical range of products people had become used to seeing. They also wanted to change the way costomers viewed and interacted with the Shell brand. To this aim they partnered with Sunday Mobile to create "Shell Mobile" with the main focus of packaging a selection of traffic related services for car drivers in Hong Kong.
The Egg designed an Oracle/Java based Mobile Phone website that would interface with Sunday Mobile's mobile platform. Users were able to change their alert requirements, check their online bills, selected subscription services / handsets and administer all the features you would expect from a modern mobile provider. In addition to this The Egg assisted in the development of the traffic related services which stood Shell mobile apart from other providers.
The Egg assisted Shell setup and launch a new product and application into the market under a very tight timeline. Problem solving skills were pushed to the limit when integrating the two providers' platforms together. The result was a successful launch of the product and the system proved robust enough to handle the huge traffic levels experienced during the advertising campaign.
